Get close to history

We welcome families, schools and special interest groups. There are many opportunities for both formal and informal learning in the museum.

Children can get close to our many child-height exhibits, try on the Engine Driver’s hat, play with a train set and have fun at the activity table. We just ask that carers supervise their children while inside the museum.

Schools and groups

The museum is an excellent springboard for school projects on a range of topics. We welcome pre-booked school visits; please contact us in advance so we can ensure the best experience.
